ABF Voices of Program

ABF Voices Of is a global educational program that brings children and young people together through music and choral singing, connecting them within a shared international community. One program, many voices around the world, united by the desire to grow together, exchange experiences, and imagine new possibilities.

The program is guided by the belief that education, art and community can create meaningful change. Music becomes a bridge: a universal language that crosses cultural, social, and geographical boundaries, creating genuine connections between people from different backgrounds.

ABF Voices Of welcomes children and young people aged 6 to 16, supported by local multidisciplinary teams of educators, musicians, and social-sector professionals. Activities include regular weekly sessions, opportunities for further learning and exchange during the Weekend Gatherings, and shared international experiences such as the Global Gathering 2026, which brings together young people from around the world to explore personal growth and global citizenship.

Performance is only one aspect of the program. Music is used primarily as an educational tool and as an opportunity for personal development. Through choral singing, participants learn to listen to themselves, to others, and to the group—and strengthen essential transversal skills, including empathy, collaboration, critical thinking, and leadership.

The choir becomes an educational community in its own right: a space built on relationships, shared responsibility and cooperation, where every voice contributes to a wider harmony. By working towards common goals, children and young people develop a stronger sense of belonging and begin to see themselves as active members of a global community.

ABF Voices Of is not simply a music program. It is a formative experience that supports children and young people as they develop their talent and sense of identity, while encouraging inclusion, dialogue, and responsibility towards themselves, others, and the wider global community.

The Educational Framework of the Program

ABF Voices Of is an educational program designed to support the personal, relational, and social development of children and young people through a wide range of shared experiences.

Choral singing lies at the heart of the program, not only as an artistic practice, but also as a powerful educational tool. It is complemented by play-based learning, residential experiences, intercultural exchange, and opportunities for participants to engage actively in community life.

Above all, the program seeks to provide children and young people growing up in challenging and complex environments with a safe and supportive space where they can discover and develop their talents, build meaningful relationships, and begin to imagine new possibilities for their future.

Experiencing Global Citizenship through ABF Voices Of

ABF Voices Of promotes a vision of global citizenship rooted in genuine encounters between people, cultures, and life stories.

Global citizenship, in this sense, goes far beyond learning about other countries or celebrating diversity as an abstract concept. It is brought to life by creating meaningful opportunities for children and young people to meet, spend time together, and experience first-hand the value of openness, dialogue, and human connection.

By building relationships with peers from different geographical, cultural, and social backgrounds, participants learn to recognize what they share while also appreciating what makes each person unique. They are encouraged to challenge stereotypes and prejudices and to understand that every individual, through their own identity, experiences, and voice, has something valuable to contribute to a wider community.

Global citizenship is therefore understood not as an abstract concept to be taught, but as a lived experience shaped by everyday relationships, shared responsibilities, mutual respect, and the pursuit of common goals.
